Cool! Good luck with the project 🙂
Just to add, if you’re looking to get started with things like this, the Mozilla Developer Network is a useful (and free) resource that I’ve used many times in the past.

I was thinking along the lines of adding some jQuery. If you google the
.hide()and.show()methods there should be a lot that comes up. A very quick (meaningless) example:$( '#hide' ).click( function() {
$( '.tab' ).hide();

(I had links to existing functions for step 1 and 3 but they may have caused my post submit to fail)
Ah, sorry about that. Posts with > 2 links go into the moderation queue.
Do you think this strategy would make it any easier or more feasible?
I think your approach sounds totally feasible.
My only question would be why do things on hover?…[Read more]

Unfortunately, there’s no existing easy way to consolidate or merge tabs. The easiest way to achieve that in my opinion would be to create a new tab called More and remove each of the unwanted tabs. More would need some custom code to (re)introduce all of the functionality that has been lost via your unwanted tab removal.
Sounds a big project I…[Read more]

Henry Wright replied to the topic Full name in the URL in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years, 10 months ago
Hi @deepjain81
This isn’t currently possible. Full name may have all kinds of characters in it that will play havoc with the URL. For that reason, BuddyPress uses username and doesn’t provide a way to change it.
If you really need to go down this route, then it most probably is possible, but will need quite a lot of custom work done in order to…[Read more]

Hi @nkeatign
Looking at the code snippet in that thread,
wp_get_attachment_image_src()is used to get the array of info. The 2nd param is size so you can utilise that to get the large version. For example:$theimg = wp_get_attachment_image_src( get_post_thumbnail_id( bp_get_activity_secondary_item_id() ), 'large' );Note: you could also use
