In reply to: How to Count Custom Post Types in Nav Tabs?
The only difference is the hooks you’re using:
bp_setup_navbp_before_member_header_meta
I expect the problem might be related to when
bp_setup_navis executed? In reply to: Change buddupress member slugHi @virre131
This feature is called root profiles and it can be enabled by adding the following to your wp-config.php file:
define( 'BP_ENABLE_ROOT_PROFILES', true );What set-up do you use?
In reply to: Registration form not working on Windows mobileThanks for the update @antdevine, glad you fixed the issue.
In reply to: Assign Default Member TypeThis sounds like a problem with the edit profile screen rather than your registration hook.
In reply to: Registration form not working on Windows mobileI don’t have a Windows phone to test this but feel free to open a Trac ticket to report the issue:
In reply to: User Profile navigationbuddypress.org is open source so feel free to check out the theme’s code.
In reply to: Recruitment siteFor a recruitment site, can buddy press have different account types for employers and employees?
Yes. Check out Member Types:
In reply to: How to make group avatars sharperYou could be using the thumb sized avatar. Check your theme to make sure the full sized image is being used.
bp_core_fetch_avatar()is the function used by BuddyPress to display avatars but there’s alsoget_avatar()so check for that too (it’s a WordPress function). In reply to: BuddyPress Emails Default TextI doubt you’ll find a folder with them in it; instead, they probably get added to the database as part of the BuddyPress install routine. Try installing BuddyPress on a fresh copy of WordPress to see if they suddenly show up.
In reply to: BuddyPress Emails Default TextThat’s strange!
Without customising anything, I see this on my install:

@djpaul did all of the Email API heavy lifting, perhaps he knows if there should be items in the list by default?
In reply to: BuddyPress Emails Default TextTake a look at the
bp_email_get_schema()function for the default messages used.In reply to: BuddyPress Emails Default TextIs it necessary to create emails for each situation to make sure emails go out?
There should be default items in that list. Did you delete them?
In reply to: How to make group avatars sharperCan you check the size of the image on your server?
In reply to: Protect Groups From Deletion in Admin DashboardIf a non-admin user tries to delete a group from within the admin area, they’ll get redirected to your home page.
add_action( 'groups_before_delete_group', function() { if ( ! is_admin() ) { return; } if ( ! current_user_can( 'manage_options' ) ) { wp_redirect( home_url() ); exit; } } );Note: I haven’t tested. This is quite a crude solution; instead of redirecting the user a better approach would be to add an admin notice letting the user know they can’t delete the group.
In reply to: How would I do this in BuddyPress?Group posting by administrators and moderators only isn’t possible out-of-the-box. You’d need to write some custom code or find a plugin that can do that.
@shanebp has been working on a geo-location plugin for BuddyPress which might be useful to you.
Hope this info helps!
In reply to: Avatar of the man and womanI’m not aware of a plugin that’s available that will let you do this. Maybe someone else here will know of one?
In reply to: Membership CodesYes. Every member in your install will have a user ID. So both BuddyPress and WordPress users will get a number. In fact, at the back end WordPress users and BuddyPress members are the same thing.
In reply to: Membership CodesUser IDs are assigned automatically so you don’t need to activate them. With reference to displaying the number on your BuddyPress site, check out this article:
Logged-out visitors should now be able to see the page.
In reply to: Membership CodesEach member is assigned a user ID. The very first user will get 1 and then that number is incremented as each new user signs up. Does that help?
In reply to: Admin approval for profile changesI haven’t seen anything like that either.
In reply to: How to change colors of “SAVE CHANGES” buttonSorry for the delay. Looking at your markup,
#signup_submitlooks to be your selector. Glad you got this sorted 🙂In reply to: 404 on Manage groups pagedisplay: none;wasn’t the best solution. Glad you found a better way 🙂In reply to: 404 on Manage groups pageIn that case you could embed some CSS into the
