@boonebgorges yep that makes sense .
Just found and read Jeff’s update as well as the potted history writeup he made, makes one both a bit sad and angry.
Just deleted two hundred odd words I wrote here on this subject of GPL, free work, download and moan π thought what’s the point?

@travel-junkie Thanks for the update wasn’t aware of this, real shame that Jeff has been worn down by negative comments when he’s undoubtedly put so much time into this plugin. I really feel that many simply do not get what hard work and time is involved in development of any nature and when it’s essentially done […]

I’m fully stocked stationary wise, got two pens on the desk as well as the pencil . So why hasn’t Jeff released this then? Following on from ML’s comments Privacy is always a concern as is fine control over permissions and and moderation of users that it ought to be a serious point for roadmap […]

They’re certainly one of the more interesting hosts in the re-seller market, shame they don’t do VPS packages although do do dedicated.
It’s interesting to hear first hand experience of them.
You definitely want to find the time to do the re-branding though π

Interesting, default values for this and it’s sibling CPU directive is ‘Unset’ but suspect sharedhosts set this to protect from too many spawned child instances crashing servers, surprised that they let this be modified really, but a great and fast response. I had wondered about Heart but tended to dismiss them due to the rather […]

Yep you could well be right. Problem is I don’t like deleting posts ever unless really pushed to it or if they are simply offensive and inflammatory towards others, otherwise it smacks of autocratic censorship.
I think I’ll re-open the thread and change the closed topic comment to “lets draw a line under things and leave the thread to continue on…[Read more]

@TheAlchemist if you’re seeing php scripting outputed by the browser then you have possibly left out php tags wrapping the function? depends on how your functions.php is arranged but generally as it tends to contain various disparate functions and snippets of code including markup php tags tend to be opened and closed on a per item […]

Yep decedent selectors are actually the space you might leave between the selectors, a space says that the selector/element on the extreme right has to have a parent or ancestor/antecedent that matches to the one on the left thus: #my-element a {} means that the anchor will only have these styles if it is nested […]

If you look at the body element and swap between the pages you should see various different classes applied depending on page being viewed. You should be able to use these classes to effect descndent selector styling, in other words you will add a class from the body element at the start of your selector […]

@espeon I’m a forum moderator, what forums have you been frequenting where it’s acceptable to pass a comment like that to regular members let alone a site moderator. Passing comments like that get noticed and you will find that there will an unwillingness to help in future so I would advise against further comments like that […]

@espeon If you had actually read that codex page in the second link without dismissing it as not what you wanted (what did you want? I suspect what has been offered above!) then you would have noted this line: Weβre going to modify the βMy Blogsβ menu without changing the core code Operative words there are “without […]

@gunju2221 please don’t just write code for people when they have demonstrated a bad attitude and rudeness it’s extremely counter productive to the health of a tech help forum the it simply encourages and and gives apparent licence to people and makes it very hard for moderation if and when it becomes necessary.
