Well that will be plenty 🙂 64MB should normally be sufficient but it all depends on what is running. Does the Grid service make you pay a monthly fee to have a healthy PHP mem limit, bit unusual. If you can stretch to it I would get the basic starter VDS from them.

You would simply ensure the existing DB had new domain name entries, having ensured safety backups in case of disasters. You might want to set up a 301 permanent redirect from old domain to new though

Should simply be a case of trawling through the DB and changing all instances of the old domain name to the new one.

The OP mentions allowing upload of Word docs so they could contain Macro viruses, I would not be allowing Word docs to be uploaded unless they could be screened in some fashion.
