Thanks for the idea @LPH2005 – but I’m using multisite, so I don’t have the “Uploading Files” section on my media options page. Not sure why that is, but it is.

I’ve asked the good folks at site5 (my webhost) to check out the issues @hnla referred to.

Yes, I’ll second @hnla.. Definitely watch for safe mode! And backing up on checking owner – group settings, thats the reason deleting the autocreated uploads folder works.. When you recreate manually it changes the owner

@hnla and @mercime, thanks for the tips! It’s really doing my head in tho. I changed all the 14px vallues from the default css to 12px. Still won’t affect the font size. Aaargh!

  I can still see a few 14px sizes in default.css
  
  There is a danger in font-sizes described in the way they are, I see no body font size set with that set and then relative measures e.g ’em’, ‘%’ used it is easier to control font sizing

  Originally these patches/corrections did sort out issues in cubepoints, however most should be redundant and have been either added to the core files or the later versions correcting issues regardless. @hnla said it, with you’ve got #wrapper #main #container #container #content divs buddypress component pages. As for font-size which should be 12px throughout per original Arras theme, you have font-size 14px in your default.css carried over into your theme.

@hnla thanks – that was what I was looking for. The plugin.php was where I needed to make some changes so that’s perfect! I’d edited the home.php and all the others, but hadn’t thought to look at plugin.php. Thanks for your help 🙂
