Also what’s stopping a display name being unique and therefore, how do I know @hugo goes to yourself and not others ?

@Hugo — Oops, I celebrated too soon. I found the members-loop.php file and deleted the line, but I don’t appear to have the other one. In case I’m overlooking it, where is it found exactly?

@mercime Well, testing the theme on it’s own on my local server shows that comments work without issues, so I don’t think it’s a theme issue.

@Hugo BuddyPress Template Pack creates the folder eg. /Activity/index.php but when I try to choose the Pages, the system does not see them and I can not select anything.
