Try inserting this or something similar) at the appropriate point in register.php ….

I have been using Buddypress 2.0.1 and Events Manager 5.5.3.1 for weeks without problem.

problem “disappeared” after much deactivation/reactivation/cache clearing. can’t reproduce.

Going through plugin the deactivate – activate loop. Looks like the culprit is UberMenu2 Mega Menu version 2.4.0.3.

Still got some more testing to do. Will post back.

Yes … “who can invite” has no radio button set.

When it occurs … just see the error message … can’t get to the next screen.

Have deactivated an ancillary BP plugins, and deactivated and reactivated just Buddypress. No change, still receive “There was an error saving group details, please try again.”.

Buddypress 2.0 WP 3.9. Child theme of twentythirteen.

Tried to create a private group, See image for options.

Results in group being created (see image), but options don’t stick and error message “There was an error saving group details, please try again.” gets spit out.

Why, oh why? Is this a bug? Should I create a ticket?

Thanks. So I’m thinking I’ll change that “All Members” to say “Active Members” to avoid others getting confused like me :).

What is the best way to amend the lead-in text for the registration page, default says “Registering for this site is easy. Just fill in the fields below, and we’ll get a new account set up for you in no time.”

having dug into this a little, I now realize that this is something that is more wp than bp.

Using bp 1.7.2 and wp 3.6-beta3-24306.

I created some additional fields for a user to complete when registering for bp – example: Mailing List Opt-In Y/N.

Shouldn’t that user’s bp profile information appear in the wp profile update screen, as well? Right now – doesn’t look like that happens.
