I feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing this is going to be coded. Sounds great Enrico! Best of luck!

bp-themes folder was used, and directories was there. Tried trunk1281 and that caused more issues with nav links (HOME_BLOG_SLUG & MEMBERS_SLUG appeared on /groups page) and same issue as before.

I reverted to trunk1248 and all is back to normal… except I was liking the new page title tags in trunk1268.

    Robust classifieds (paid and free)

    Group calendar/events with registration

Photo galleries (for groups, members, and group events)

    Cheers!

Similar here – members link forwards to blank member profile with Home nav button highlighted as current?

Thanks for the fix to this bug John!

Just add to site-wide.css for now, skip the plugin :)

@Bbrian017 Each theme has its own header.php, so depending on the theme they select, the titles will vary.

The default theme has more than the website name, ie. http://mayo.testbp.org/2009/03/25/hello-world/

You can change your blog titles in your themes\’ header.php files.

I believe there are others using all-in-one-seo plugin too.

Is there anyway to see our old forum activity as it was before?

I never remember to bookmark or subscribe by rss to topics to follow.

Andy is aware and working on the Groups […] title feature –

I can’t find the post, but he mentioned this was in the pipeline.

All titles for the top level pages /groups /members /blogs and all blog posts are “Blog Title” out of the box.

Members pages are titled “Member >> Profile >> Public” w/out blog title.

And Groups are “Groups >> Example […]” w/out blog title.

Titles being highly visible and important in seo… this is about as bad as it could be. These pages are probably not where you will drive traffic, but they are prominently linked, and not anywhere near optimized out of the box.

No luck here. You’re right – htaccess isn’t updating when I change permalinks settings.

I have several other wp sites with same hosting, htaccess updates fine with same permissions chmod644.

I tried 777, but no luck.

The odd thing is that the blog permalinks work even though htaccess isn’t being written to, just ajax widgets don’t. I’m stumped.

I’m running WPMU 2.7 – BP trunk1248, not in subfolder/subdomain. Godaddy shared hosting. Any permalinks set, and widgets won’t work.

Firebug Console, when I click ie. newest in Groups widget, reports:

    POST http://example.com/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-core/bp-core-ajax-handler.php 404 Not Found … jquery.js?ver=1.2.6 (line 11)

Wondering if this is in the pipeline? I couldn’t find it in the trac.

Would be nice to see a “Change Blog Avatar” option in the “My Blogs” wp-admin-bar.

    I need this too!

Must have the community police the site… it’s the only way I can think of keeping things clean without hiring staff.

Why does wordpress mu add “?ver=1.2.6” to jquery.js?

I’m getting a 404 when clicking the ajax widgets (with permalinks on) … could the ?ver= cause this?

I upgraded to tunk1207 and this didn’t help.

    It’s nailed down to a jquery, htaccess and/or bp-core-ajax-handler.php problem :)

Could this be added in the Buddypress Settings, in site admin – possibly under “Base profile group name” field?

It would be nice to enter a name for each, and all places ie. ‘Members’ is mentioned it would be updated to chosen name.

Members could be named anything – Patrons, Users, Constituents, Associates, Individuals, People etc.

Groups could be Teams, Bands, Parties, Crowds, Communities, Gangs, Scenes etc.

I have added suggestion #2 to a trac ticket: https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/574

The forum for an event gets created successfully, but the forum and icon does not appear in the “optionsbar” as does when a forum is created for a group.

Add a vote for categories/tags feature also! Thanks!

Same problem here. wpmu 2.7, bp rc-1, no extra wp-plugins installed, currently on shared host.

Ajax widgets won’t work unless permalinks are changed to default.

Thanks egerrits! Works great except I can’t seem to post forum topics for events. Also, possible to change the map size/zoom?

I am definitely looking forward to group events too. If possible, it would be great to have Group-Event-Forum integration also :)

I’d like to bump the quality up a bit too for avatars.

Any luck finding this rishel or Trent?
