It would be best to ask these questions in the support forums as you will have more of a chance of getting a quicker response. It also puts the replies into an area from which others in the community can benefit.
As to your question, search the bp_default theme and you will see that this functionality is already included. The ”Load More” but…[Read more]

@mark211 Yes, the Featured Members Widget is working just fine on WP 3.0 and BP 1.2.5.2. So, you will have no issues. As far as your other question, the answer is yes. You find the member’s ID by logging into the back end of WP as Site Admin. Just navigate to the “Site Admin > Users” […]

Good point. I suppose I could create that plugin, then create a time machine (high-mileage, used DeLoreans don’t cost that much) and then go back into time with that plugin and use it to create it. Of course, I would risk an infinite loop which is always poor programming etiquette. So, never mind.

Based on your first post, I did not understand that as your goal. But you are correct in stating that if you want to change more than just the name of the slug, then you have no other choice but to create a custom language file.

@foxly and @boonebgorges
You’re both very welcome! I’m a big believer in developer tools and wish that there were more of them. I’m not sure what my next developer tool project will be — perhaps an auto plugin creator tool?

As far as I’m aware, there is no way to do that currently. That is an excellent idea, though. Perhaps you can suggest that by adding a new Trac ticket under enhancements.

Jeff Sayre posted on the forum topic when is BP 1.3 out? in the group Installing BuddyPress: 14 years, 4 months ago
I am purely speculating at this point but I would expect that BP 1.3 will not be out for at least 2 or 3 months. You can track its progress in Trac, as @pisanojm suggested. Notice that a target-release date has not yet been assigned.

@foxly –
Fixed, updated, and good to go! Please download version 0.13 and don’t forget to replace the modified plugin.php file with the one that comes in the download package.

After further investigating, it looks like the function apply_filters_ref_array() is the only change within plugin.php from previous versions. It is new as of WP 3.0. I can easily fix this error. However, it will take a little additonal work as I noticed that I need to catch triggered hooks within apply_filters_ref_array() as well. This realization […]

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll look into this error and investigate any other changes to WP 3.0’s plugin.php file.

Jeff Sayre posted on the forum topic how to access to bbpress admin from buddypress?? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 14 years, 4 months ago
@alanchrishughes Haha! Thanks for keeping the discussion in this thread. Integrating bbPress with WordPress is not easy. In fact, it can be a real pain. I have not tried integrating bbP and WP since BuddyPress offered a different solution — group forums. That being said, have you seen this article ? More than likely it is out of […]

This is not currently possible. Read the first post in the link on this thread: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/requests-feedback/forum/topic/allow-for-multiple-buddypress-instances-on-one-wordpress-mu-install/ As far as your current BuddyPress install, it seems like you do have an issue. @alanchrishughes I took it a little off topic to provide you with some help. I knew that you were having issues with bbPress and WordPress integration (as you have posted on several threads stating as much). So I was politely trying to provide a little help while asking to not turn this into a bbPress integration […]

My Privacy Component should be out before the end of July. But, I’ve been absolutely terrible with my predictions over the last 7 or so months. There are a few core changes that still need to find their way into BuddyPress before I can release the plugin. I think they will be added in the next version or so.

You should see results within 24-48 hours. If your Google Analytics account page says that it can see your code, then I would assume it is working fine. So, perhaps you should give it another day before contacting the theme author. You can view the browser source for a few of your outputted pages and […]

@alanchrishughes I’m sorry that you are still having issues with deep integration of bbPress with WordPress. Many sites have an integrated bbPress install. In fact, @r-a-y has helped you extensively with the issue of bbPress integration into WordPress, pointing to many resources to help you accomplish that goal. If you are having trouble…[Read more]

As this forum is for issues with core BP files, and you are using a custom theme not the default theme, I would suggest contacting the theme author and asking for their help and insight. However, your point about the header file is valid. I assume that when you switch your theme to BP’s default […]
