    Hi @mercime,

Do you have any suggestion whether the BP mention would work for non-English language, such as Chinese?

Or where I could get help if needing customized BP mention to support Chinese characters?

    Thanks,
    Peter

    Just update the result.

By referencing http://buddydev.com/buddypress/making-wordpress-seo-plugin-compatible-with-buddypress/, BP SEO works well now, even though the BBpress doesn’t work well still.

    Anyway, thanks @mercime!

    Thanks @mercime

I was using BP default theme and just checked with Twenty Twelve. Same issue.

After disable the wp plugin, WordPress SEO, title looks good now. However, it is not easier to do SEO without a tools like WP SEO. Are there any SEO tools working well with BP?

More info for you regarding our site,

    1. We are based on WP 3.5.2 Chinese version and enabled multi-sites
    2. It is working well when we put any Chinese activity, forum posts, groups, members. For now, we only found @ mention doesn’t work for Chinese username.

    Thanks @mercime

    For your questions,

    1. Chinese
    2. UTF-8

Could you send me a Chinese site URL based on Buddypress, and the @ mention works well?

    Thanks @bphelp

But this is not what I mean. Basically, @bphelp is mentioning you. However, if your username is not “bphelp”, but a non-english name, how could I @non-english ? BP seems doesn’t support it for now.
