Okay. I’m an idiot.
I used Cyberduck to look in the plugin directory. Even though WP’s plugin panel didn’t see it, sure enough, that plugin-commander-i18n directory was sitting there, plain as day, thumbing its nose at me and eating my chips.
I deleted it and it fixed the problem.
Anyway, just in case this might be some kind of issue for BP, I’m leaving this up until someone else chimes in. Also, just in case someone does a search for controlling plugins per site, you can now see that BP is all you need.
Don’t make the minor mistake I did.
There’s a featured group plugin, what about a featured user? Displays their picture and bits about them. Links back to their profile. That would be nice.
Andy, I found if I drop that into “wp-content/member-themes/buddypress-member/css/custom-components/” it loads as you say.
It’s changed things somewhat … http://doorqtech.com/members/jodyw1/… but I still have to figure out how to get to look like this: http://doorqtech.com/groups
If I modify “Custom.CSS” so that it includes the color scheme from the rest of the site, is that going to work?
Thanks. I started one over there too.
It’s one of those issues that is just this side of maddening, since there doesn’t seem to be a work around.
Steve, I actually added a new ticket, modifying yours. It would be great if all of the groups / members / activities posts displayed could be modified.
Example, the test page lists 7 recent blog posts, 15 members (latest/active/popular) 12 groups and 10 activities displayed. I’d like to be able to set these at an admin level, to say 5 blog posts, 10 members, 15 groups and 5 activities.
I believe all of these are hard coded now. Entering a number for each listing would be wunderbar.
“Can you also then have BP post the most recent -forum- posts from a users blog” should have read “**blog** posts…”
No need to be unduly confusing.
Nicolagreco, he means the ability to log into the WPBP install using Facebook credentials.
Facebook has a new API that anyone can use on their site to allow visitors to use their Facebook login to join a site.

Pardon me for shang-hi-ing this conversation for a second, but I can’t figure out how to post a new topic. Every time I do, I get a “Topic Not Found” error. I’m obviously doing something wrong, but I can’t quite figure out what.

Never mind. Got it to work.
