  • Thanks Paul. I tried to put bp_dtheme_add_custom_header_support() in my child theme’s functions.php and got a big old “can’t redeclare error.” So I’ll need to copy all the header functions, rename them, modify as needed, add define( ‘BP_DTHEME_DISABLE_CUSTOM_HEADER’, true ); to the child theme’s functions.php, and track down where the Header menu for the theme is being generated and disable it. Does that sound about right?

@jivany and @DJPaul It’s not a production site. It is my bleeding edge site where I run nightly builds of WordPress and BuddyPress so I can monitor what issues I may have with plugins and functionality on my development and live site. Though I must say I was a little surprised with how much went wonky when adding 1.3-bleeding.

That could be part of the issue. I do not have a Component Setup under BuddyPress. I am on 1.3-bleeding (not sure if that matters) I see Dashboard, Settings, Forums Setup, and Profile Field Setup. Dashboard says [TODO: All sorts of awesome things will go here. Latest plugins and themes, stats, version check, support topics, news, tips] and Settings does not have anything about Blog Tracking.

I just noticed that the My Blogs has disappeared from my admin bar when I upgraded from 1.2 to 1.3-bleeding. Have you gone through svn to find an older version of the parent theme? That is what I am going to try and do.

You can also contact me. Our site is http://voices.wooster.edu but not on 1.2 as of yet.

I’d recommend SB and MB for Single blog and Multi blog. Like Andrea said, it has always kind of been irksome that it was called WordPress Multi User when it really allowed multiple blogs.
