I'm writing a Buddypress and WP for online education article and need help

I’m writing a BP 1.2 and WP article for a major online education magazine and would like to know if any colleges, universities and online course providers are using Buddypress 1.2?

I’m trying to prove the case for moving to WP and BP for online education.

the article is “7 reasons to consider WordPress and Buddypress for online education”

Any help, research, or contacts you can provide would be excellent.
