I should just probably put ads on the sidebars. All the activity is inside the Activity Stream where it belongs and also in the forums and groups. I think I’ll consider putting other content in the sidebars.
It would, however, be useful to try to at least get the comments connected to the site admin posts for informative reasons. Even if I don’t display the Recent Comments on the sidebar, at least I can interact with the members without having to jump into the Activity Stream.
Any thoughts would be welcome.

Only comments to site admin posts do I want to show on the sidebar. If at all possible. I should have said that. If not, not problem. I can just probably take out that widget.
@boyinabubble Did you remove your index.php file from your root directory or something? When I clicked on your ink, I can see other folders in your Public HTML folder but not your site. You had better take a look at this.
Peace.
Kevin
@hnla You hit the nail on the head! I commented out the piece of CSS that you brought forward. So far I don’t see any issues, but I’ll keep my eyes open for them. This piece of code must be for the clearing of a float. Now the posts look just how BuddyPress is supposed to look: http://www.gumpolen.com/blog/category/city-desk/

After I saved my changes, “Control F5” couldn’t get them to show in Chrome. I had go to command prompt and use “ipconfig/flushdns” and then my changes showed. Chrome always seems to do this. A year ago I didn’t realize this, and I would simply think that I wasn’t doing something correctly and then I would go on to something else. I wasted hours of coding time, thinking that I was doing it wrong, and here it was just that Chrome doesn’t refresh correctly. At least not on the computer I use.
Thanks for your help!
Kevin
@hnla Someday I hope to know just a fraction of what you know. Thanks for looking into this. I would never have guessed in a hundred years that this little check box affected something on the front end. Thanks, Hugo. You’re great!
Your student,
Kevin
@hnla Okay, I’ll give this a try. Thanks. I appreciate your reply.
I’m an expert in my field, just as you’re an expert in yours. Fortunately, I come to you for help. Many people just crank out their own business cards and letterheads from their computers at home and it looks like crap, and they never bother to ask a printer such as myself. At least I ask. You have to remember this.
Peace.
Kevin
I’m sorry, I thought I put this comment in the Idea forum. I apologize for this.
@mercime That did it. Thank you for taking the time to show me the nav paths. Whew! The sites are all present to all members. I had no idea that this little tick box controlled all that! Lol! I’ll let all individual members control their own sites, but first I have to know what causes what.
Thanks again.
I have to take care of some Valentine’s Day things for my wife. I will return shortly. Thanks. Sometimes I wait until the last minute, but only for the minor things.
Thank you for your reply. My head is really pounding from all of this. I feel like I’m going to vomit. Oh, man.
Would this privacy settings be in the network side or the gumpolen side? I’m trying my best to follow you.
As an admin, I can see all of the sites when looking at the Site Directory.
Are members supposed to be able to see each other’s sites/blogs?
Do members perhaps need to first “Friend” someone before their site/blog is visible to that person in the Site Directory?
Okay. Thank you, @mercime. I appreciate your help.
Do I need to re-install multi-site and chose to have the subdomains appears after my domain name instead of before it?
For example, do I need to have this: http://www.gumpolen.com/cliffs instead of http://www.cliffs/gumpolen.com?
I figured it out! Yay for me. I just kept missing the menu to find this in My Sites/Network Admin/Sites.
I was able to delete the unwanted site.
Thanks, Ben. I appreciate your help. I understand now.
