Would this be a log file for WPMU or BP? Where would I find it? Thanks Jeff
Just changing the image doesnt seem to work because the image gets clipped. I guess some CSS also has to be changed. Does anyone know what code needs to be tweaked to affect the logo?
Yes, they do. Even the register page loads and works fine, just does not send out the activation email. The website is http://theindianstartup.com
Hyrxx,
Yeah thats what I realized I could do with gmail just a few mins ago
More specifically, I am not using any custom home theme, its the one I got from buddypress .org itself.
Hey DJPaul,
No this is a fresh install of ver 1.0 with all the default settings. Just set it up yesterday and have had this problem right from the beginning.
What would you recommend I do to check the reason for this problem?
Thanks,
I registered through buddypress so was not sure if it was an issue with its integration with WPMU. I guess Ill just wait for a few days for the emails to be available.
Also, I deleted the users that I registered through wp-signup (from the WPMU site admin->Users section). However, when I try to register those users again, it gives me an error that those email addresses are already taken.
I dont have any email address to test anymore!
Ok, the sign up form on the front page was directing to domain/register which does not work (the registration process shows success but does not send an activation email). I used domain/wp-signup.php instead and that worked fine (thanks TheEasyButton)
I have the same problem. I am running 1.0 on a fresh install. The new user registration goes off successfully, but the activation email is never received. The buddypress install is at http://theindianstartup.com
I might have done something stupid…
On step 3 of the bbpress installation process where it asks for site name, I put in my main domain name (instead of the installation path to bbpress – which I now assume I should have put?).
I had errors during installation and so I deleted the whole bbpress directory and uploaded bbpress again to a new directory (domain.com/forums). Now when I run the installation and finish step 1, I say move to step 2 and it takes me to my main domain instead of step 2. I have no idea how to fix this. I guess the installation instructions from the first install still exist.
Please advise as to how I can fix this! Thanks.
@Bloggsbe, thanks Ill give that a try
Does any of these instructions change for the newly released BuddyPress 1.0?
I got around to installing buddypress and it looks great but was bummed to realize that the forums don’t work right of the bat. Are there any updated (simpler) instructions now that ver 1.0 is out?
