Is it possible to not show particular activity in the activity stream? I do not want “XYZ are now friends” to show. Is this possible? Is there a place to choose options for what shows up in the activity stream?

The biggest challenge for my site is the smiley only posts/comments/replies.

Now, how can I get this set correctly so students do not just sit and make smiley faces and get points? Is there a minimum comment length setting?

My admin panel is only showing values for comments, posts, registration and daily login. However, members are getting points for making friend requests and accepting friend requests. I went to the database and couldn’t find a place to change anything there either.

Any suggestions?

Thesis and BuddyPress do not work well together (yet). There are some good threads about BP and Thesis on the Thesis support forums. You might want to start reading there.

In the meantime, you might be able to use avatars if you upload rectangular shaped images and crop at that point. At least that works on my BP installation.
