Hmm.. Now I am really confused. I can upload other ppt files created by the students and it works. I copied the first one tried to a whole new ppt and uploaded it to a whole new thread – and the download of the file failed. Crazy. Something in that file is just not liked.

Uploaded pptx file format and this downloads properly.

The plugin “Tamper Data” shows the correct content-type set for the download as well as the transfer as “binary” …

BP 1.2.6 updated but pagination fails.

Clicking on the link does not change the page, however, I can right-click on the link and open it in a tab or window and the new page loads.

@pisanojm – noticed that settings for Facebook or Flickr are not in the profile. They are enabled in the /wp-admin.

@el_terko- yep – those missing images are from TweetStream – while the first 8 or so are BuddyStream 🙂

It is a great plugin. Optimized table helped a little. W3-Total Cache was installed weeks ago but the site is on RackSpaceCloud and they suggest not using database caching. @pisanojm – thank you. I’m uploading right now. TweetStream and FaceStream were deactivated but not deleted.

Update: B-E-A- utiful. Works like a charm on Penguin Flight Log. Easy installation and setup.

@Pisanojm – for those of us with TweetStream and FaceStream installed – will this be an upgrade? Can we import from these two products? Or is it best to “just start fresh” by removing the two earlier products and install BuddyStream?

Narrowed this down to the thesis child theme. A change to the default theme allows the stream to show and groups to be created – however – the “home” link is wrong and tries to go to /news.

Why not upgrade to 1.2.6 when it becomes available in a few days or download the zip for the branch here and test it to see if it works for your site with those plugins. Alternatively, update the plugins to work with the latest BP version.

WP 3.0.1 would be the best install with BuddyPress 1.2.6 (released this coming weekend). But before walking through too much detail, is there a reason you want BuddyPress on a subdomain? @hnla – installed the branch the other day and pagination still doesn’t work on the activity stream. Decided to look at the way I had it done in the child theme but am not done.

Please provide more information about your setup so that people can help you.

You really need to supply more information about your BP installation.

In the meantime, did you try to upload an avatar again using a different browser?
