I just figured it out – I added the line

define( 'BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG', true );

to my wp-config file in cpanel – everything works now 🙂

Another follow-up: it turns out this is because of a plugin I was using – Multilanguage by BestWebSoft… I would really love to keep using this plugin (I’ve been hunting for translation plugins for over a month and this is the only one I’ve found that actually does what I need it to do translation-wise)

Is there any way to make the plugin BuddyPress-Compatible?

I just discovered that the frontend navigation for user profiles is not working either – I always get a 404 page…

Also, individual profiles are not showing up when I attempt to navigate to a user’s profile in the frontend through the backend (I get a 404 page)
