@lorns Have you tried deleting and then re-uploading BuddyPress manually? Files may have been corrupted or upload could be incomplete. Where are you hosted – locally or shared hosting or dedicated server, etc?

@doremdou What theme are you using? Perhaps you need to upgrade your theme. If it is a premium theme, you can ask if the theme is compatible with BP. You could also check if the theme is enqueueing its own jquery and not the jquery version used by WP.

Re: BP comment submission form looking great in Twenty Twelve.
It’s using the same stylesheet enqueued by BP. The difference is that the style is not being overridden by the theme’s styles.
