– if you posted what BP/WP versions you’re using,
– if you have deactivated all plugins and changed to bp-default theme already,
– if that Site Admin is lone group admin
– and other pertinent information.

Deactivate all plugins including BuddyPress and change to twentyten theme, check if permalinks are working with the menu.

If pretty permalinks are working, then check with webhost if mod_rewrite is enabled in your server. If permalinks are working, re-upload BuddyPress plugin manually via FTP or cpanel,etc.

The adminbar requires in footer.php, so don’t delete that when you make changes in footer.php

I’ve seen this problem in the forums and it’s because some BP themes have not been updated. In this case, I see that you’re using the “Version: 1.1 RC1” of CosmicBuddy. The theme has been updated in “Version 1.2 RC2 Update 1” http://buddydev.com/themes/cosmic-buddy/

Could be plugin/theme conflict. Deactivate plugins except BuddyPress and change to bp-default theme, clear cache, does the same thing happen?

No, it’s just not you. This issue will be addressed when the site is upgraded by JJJ.
