@protechs2 if you have an old theme, there’s a big possibility that it is JS conflict or more. I would install the Theme Check plugin, enable WP_DEBUG and go Appearance > Theme Check and select Fusion to to see if there are warnings and required information showing up. @sakarya Just to be clear, you’re removing the status update form from the group’s activity, so that should work. Have you cleared cache? Or were you trying to remove the status update form everywhere?

I can only say that the best practice is to create a child theme.

I hope you’re using a child theme of the BP Default theme instead of making those changes on that theme in your server. Otherwise, your changes will be overwritten when BP is updated.

@kvschwartz name of file should be bp-custom.php and not bp-customs.php

What page is plain and simple? If you only want to change the background (of whole site or of one specific page) then you can change it via your theme’s stylesheet.
