@mercime Ok I made the child theme, what do I do now? Also, I added define(‘BP_DISABLE_ADMIN_BAR’, false); to my wp-config.php file, and a blank grey space comes at the top of the page where the admin bar should be, could this suggest problems with the coding?

@mercime, remove the Username and Psw from the above post. On any circumstance, the super admin Username And Psw should never be posted out in the open.

@mercime Hello there, I was wondering if you could help me. The BuddyPress admin bar is not showing on my website, but it does show when I log into the WordPress dashboard. @mercime – yes, we had already had to adopt the solution of writing our own version of bp_core_add_settings_nav() – similarly to your suggestion.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t answer why bp_core_new_nav_default() doesn’t work with the settings menu.

    🙂 yes, and it was the correct option 😉 No one ever mentioned that Pandas were that canny. ‘Greater coding experience’ huh we’ll see but am thinking of reminding clients that in reality I’m a coder not a web master 🙁
