In reply to: Move bp default theme menu to the leftYou only need to add this to your style.css file:
`#navigation #nav {
float: left;
margin: 40px 0 0 20px;
}`In reply to: overlap problemSite URL? Theme used? BP/WP versions?
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress Template Pack Plugin ProblemFirst, make sure that BuddyPress plugin is activated. Second, you cannot use it on the bp-default theme. If BP is activated, go to wp-admin dashboard menu Appearance > BP Compatibility.
In reply to: help with 4 stepChoose bp-default theme first. After checking BP functions are working well, change theme to preferred one.

In reply to: export memberYou can use the regular WP export users plugin. There’s no plugin that I know of that exports user with BP xprofile fields at this time.
In reply to: BuddyPress pages widght and sidebar problemsflyj4ck, we try to help as much as we possibly can. The other person with the Gonzo did not come back to give the site URL so I could help him/her out. We’ve template-packed more than 100 themes successfully already, for free at that.
As for your set-up, as I mentioned above, I need to see what happened after #4 because you have a premium theme which I am not about to purchase for this purpose aside from the fact that I roll out my own themes. Let me know when you’re ready.
In reply to: How to remove the title from static home page@bellushi create a page template which does not include a page title and choose that template for the static home page.
Don’t know which plugin you are referring to. Looks like an ecommerce plugin. Do follow up with plugin developer.
Great. Thanks for marking it solved

In reply to: Anyone else see this ad?Not an ad, but a BP site. Shows up in other browsers too.
In reply to: Activity stream to album or gallery@transmission there are alternatives
– free BuddyPress Media https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-media/ – not tried this, don’t know if it uploads media from status update page
– free beta BP Media http://code.google.com/p/buddypress-media/
– premium BP Gallery http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-gallery/In reply to: General BP+MultiSite QuestionsYes, BP will track activity of members in subsites.
Yes to: comment on main site where commenting is available like in activity streams and blog posts by default plus in customized BP components created by plugin if it is included.
In subsites, commenting on blog posts only if it is not disabled in Settings>Discussion of that subsite.
Forum posts show up in main site’s activity stream. Super admin can disable commenting about that forum post in activity to direct member to comment/reply directly in the forums to keep the forum conversation centralized.
Strange. I’m using Firefox 16.0.2, haven’t upgraded to latest prompt to do so

@maineyak No it’s not blank
Curious, what browser are you using? You’re the second one who mentioned that codex page/s are blank. Answer posted.In some server environments, installation of BuddyPress can lead to blank pages. A great source for troubleshooting this problem is the error logs.
Memory Limit
Increasing the available memory may fix the blank page problem. Three methods are available for increasing the memory limit.
php.ini
If possible, increase the memory limit within the php.ini file.
wp-config.php
If possible, increase the memory limit in the wp-config.php file by adding define ('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');.
.htaccess
If possible, add the following to the .htaccess file: php_value memory_limit 256M
talk to your host
If you cannot resolve increasing memory with the fixes above, it means that your hosting provider prevents increases in memory limits. Contact tech support right away. Some hosting providers might require you to upgrade your plan or pay extra.
clear your browser cache or try another browser
After increasing memory, be sure to clear your browser cache. Also, troubleshoot multiple browsers and multiple user roles (subscriber, author, admin, etc.)In reply to: Comment BoxThere’s a plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-activity-plus/screenshots/

To fix it for IE8, you need to use Firebug, the Firefox add-on, to identify the HTML tag which you would need to style. Last time I looked, this would involve adding specific width to the element. which was floated left.
