to `#subnav ul li a.button` or `#subnav ul li a#create` depending on how you inserted “Create a Group” link in that sectionIn reply to: Couple ThoughtsRe Activity Stream – I see activity streams as records of each action and reaction within the site. If I wanted the facebook-like wall feature, I’d use BP Wire by @sbrajesh. But that’s just me.
Re BuddyPress Template Pack plugin – boonebgorges and r-a-y have added a second method in the 1.2 version which makes it much easier to set up (depends on the WP theme you have) and future-proof. Upgrading the plugin later on won’t require any updates in template files.
Examples of 2nd method:

You’re welcome. Have a good week.
Not quite the same. In this case, it seems like you’re missing the opening div tag that was supposed to be added in header-buddypress.php hence closing the container prematurely. This should be in header-buddypress.php http://pastebin.com/kr1jK5PW
In reply to: Wall Post on profileLeave a comment on the site re update schedule. @sbrajesh has been updating his premium and free plugins for BP 1.5 but I don’t know his schedule. There is another method but also needs to be updated for 1.5 – using sitewide activity as wire/wall http://buddydev.com/buddypress/using-activity-as-wire-in-buddypress-1-2-themes/ where again, post a comment there to check schedule if you’re interested.
In reply to: Welcome WidgetI see a sticky post with graphics added on the default front page of the bp-default theme.
In reply to: Where’s my WPTheme and How to Get it Back? That theme has not been updated since 2009. If you’re adventurous, you could install the Theme Check plugin and the Log Deprecated Notices plugin and bring it up to current WP standards.
== I have moved the six folders as indicated and created a new bp-default under my wp-content/themes and transfered the folders into there. ==
You should have the WP theme of choice activated before you activate and run BP Template Pack compatibility. If you intend to use a child theme of e.g. Hybrid, then you must have that child theme activated before you activate and run BP Template pack.In reply to: Where’s my WPTheme and How to Get it Back?Your WP theme files would still be in wp-content/themes/yourthemefolder
You need to install and activate the BP Template Pack plugin and go to Appearance > BP Compatibility Process.

Default layout of BP components is a two column layout. That’s why I’ve used the 2nd method to make 2011 compatible with BP. If you want a one column layout for all BP templates OR a mix of one column layout and two column layout, you’d have to use the 1st method for BP compatibility, i.e. changing 14 template files transferred to your BP 2011 child theme folder.
== misalignment of sidebar elements remains on the BP pages ==
BuddyPress and BP Template Pack plugin are activated, right? Do you have a screenshot of that misalignment? ALL the BP pages or a few? If so, which pages?.In reply to: Degrees of separation== do you mean it’s in scope but has not been completed yet ==
I mean there’s no plugin for that.== Do you know if this plugin has high priority for the community of developers? ==
I see this kind of plugin as something someone would have to pay a coder to develop. And if that someone is generous, would allow the coder to release the plugin to the community for free.In reply to: BuddyPress Avatars== it seems regardless of how small I make my images BP wants to crop them ==
You don’t have to crop the avatar. Extend the side and/or corner of the cropping tool to full width and height and you’re good to go.Instruction was to paste `` at the TOP of the file so sidebar-buddypress.php should be like this http://pastebin.com/aLkf4uaS
In reply to: Where are avatrs located?in server wp-content/uploads/avatars
In reply to: Degrees of separationNo BP plugin for that yet.
Yes, you need to activate BP Twenty Eleven child theme
@nahummadrid do post this also at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite where there are BP/MS users as well.
== NB My installation is on stand alone PC not connected to the internet. ==
1. Keep BP Template Pack plugin activated.
2. Open up bp-default theme and copy the folders listed below from bp-default theme into bp-twentyeleven folder
– activity, blogs, forums, groups, members, registrationdubwarrior, If you do not want to show activate/register in main navigation, bp-default supports custom menus. Go to dashboard – Appearance > Menus. Create a menu with just the links you want in your main navigation, Save. Then associate that menu with the Primary location and Save.

In reply to: “My topics” link in support does not workshoshanna The site is in transition. I’ve used “buddypress.org mercime template” for instance and got my results in Google. Thank you for your patience.
To make your Twenty Eleven theme compatible with BuddyPress, you need to install the BP Template Pack plugin and go through the Appearance > BP Compatibility process
