@hnla you are very right. I was just adding localization to plugins and then it was asked twice on here so thought I’d post it up.

@hnla I read it and people still keep asking. I broke it down more into steps instead of large paragraphs. People need bullet point instructions or they turn off.

if you know nothing about outputting json I suggest you google and read up. It’s outside the scope of a forum discussion. JQuery $ajax would work if the feed is made cross domain retrievable

This allows BuddyPress to be translated into any language just by adding a file. You can also change the names of Groups to something […]

Yes, having the up to date plugins is not a solution. You must have a plugin and or theme that is causing a conflict. If you are using a custom theme them that could be the problem. This works on many sites so it must be something specific to your install. Try deactivating all plugins accept BP share it and test each plugin to find the problem.

Do you want the data outputted or just a link? This isn’t really a BuddyPress issue.

Try step 3 http://www.buddyboss.com/how-to-edit-pomo-language-files-in-buddypress-plugins/
You also need to have both the same BP language file and the WP language file.

To add to what @hnla stated, if it’s about anything you can do before you add BP plugin then try searching on https://codex.wordpress.org/ or just google your question. There is more info out there about WP than you could read in a month.
