I doubt it’s BP, why change every last CSS class and ID and js files to achieve the same effect?

The only reason to split up CSS is to separate layout from design and since BP only has one design I don’t see the purpose and it adds requests. The single most thing that bp.org needs is to drop the activity stream. Push everything into forums and hopefully get some of JJJ’s bbpress into it […]

Won’t work currently. You can only show one “scope’ or all of them. I had tried to do what you are asking for a theme and it’s a BP core thing that needs added. @DJPaul suggested adding this request to trac.buddypress.org

If your pages are behind a login then FB will scrap login page.

I’m going to switch the button down the road to the like. For now they are still allowing the use of the share but eventually it will be phased out.
-
Hey .. that sounds good.
So i did try the like button, but it seems facebook still scrapes my membership page.
do you think it’s because i’m using s2member ?should i open up the rss feeds to the search engines?
-
So i used Facebook’s URL Linter and discovered that Facebook is scraping the wrong meta data ONLY when trying to access info from the activity stream and member profiles page.
It’s fine for simple pages.
Do you know of anyway I can figure this out? I appreciate your quick responses and your help…-

If you are referring to FB share there is not much you can do. Facebook scrapes the page and takes what it wants. They are also doing away with the share button and instead want sites to use like buttons. You can try to add graph tags to web pages to tell FB what content to use.
-
Thanks Modemlooper! I am following your advice and trying to integrate the like button 🙂

Native would be hard to do for every BP site. Configurations are to different. WP app is the same for every blog. You can also use BuddyPress mobile if you want something more optimized.

The CSS for the widget columns is not included in rtl.css. You will have to add that yourself.

Hi again
it took me some time to get back to my css work again 🙂
could you please tell me which are these “The CSS for the widget columns” my problem is that i don’t have any way to compare what is missing. i appreciate if you tell me where these tags are so i could add then the rtl.csssorry for the trouble.

modemlooper posted on the forum topic Login issue in the group BuddyPress Mobile: 14 years, 7 months ago
What happens when you turn off Theme My Login? The issue is that BP-mobile is just a theme so any plugins you have on your site can and will affect the mobile site.
BP-mobile login is a drop down form. If you have changed this then that might cause a problem as well.

Only way your files can get written to is by someone getting your FTP passwords or has access to server. That is easily done if you get a virus/malware on your computer. Is somebody else accessing the FTP on another computer? Also, bad themes and plugins can do this as well. NEVER use a plugin […]

You most likely have a trojan on your computer that stole your FTP passwords. If you are on a windows PC take a sledge hammer to it and get a MAC. <– just kidding. You should run some anti-virus and change all your passwords…[Read more]

Is this an option? I’m looking for a solution to get Facebook events into BuddyPress. My current thought would be to get the FB iCal link into Google and then have EventPress get events from Google.
