Did not test but you need to say first-child. Unless you are adding the class .first to the html
In reply to: Forums Posting Problems: The definitive post@cmroybal I told you that on the first reply. LOL.
In reply to: Forums Posting Problems: The definitive postNobody listens, Like I said in the first reply, one click breaks from time to time. It’s happened and it will happen again.
In reply to: How can I add embed.ly supportEasiest way would be to drop their js in the head. They have tut on their site and it’s pretty straight forward. Though @r-a-y might want to add support in bp-oEmbed
In reply to: Adding meta data to activityok it’s sorta working… jQ is wonky but at least I got meta saving
In reply to: Adding meta data to activityForget my pastebin that code is overkill for what I need. Can you give a simple example of adding meta?
Read through this as well. https://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/topic/adding-a-second-element-for-posting-with-an-activity/?topic_page=1&num=15
But thats on activity submit. I want to add activity meta after. Lemme retry.
In reply to: Can’t change site name with buddypress themeI searched and didn’t find but I swore someone had created a WordPress theme to look like bp-default @Andrea_r
In reply to: Can’t change site name with buddypress themeA simple solution if you want all added sites to use same name is to type the name in the header.php title instead of calling it from database.
In reply to: Can’t change site name with buddypress themeWhen you create a new site it’s basically it’s own thing but shares user login. You can also share plugins and themes but you can’t have buddypress run on every site. BP runs on only one blog on your multisite install.
In reply to: Can’t change site name with buddypress themeIf you open the header.php file you can see that 2010 theme and bp-defaut are calling two different site names. I don’t think this will work but you can try to add bp_site_name() instead of what 2010 uses bloginfo( ‘name’ );
The problem is new sites are not BuddyPress sites they are just using the same WordPress database as the main site. So new sites have their own names and such.
In reply to: Hi folks I have a problem members find a pageWas wondering what this was about. Only Dutch I know is “pressed cocoa”
In reply to: Change Avatar in BuddyPress.orgoh, create a gravatar for the email you use on this site
In reply to: Forums Posting Problems: The definitive postThey said no bb tables were created. That’s the issue as they try to post and get error due to no db tables.
In reply to: Change Avatar in BuddyPress.orgmake sure the folder avatars is writable. You do that via an FTP program or your hosts admin.
In reply to: Forums Posting Problems: The definitive postI’ve used one clicks and on occasion it’s broken. If you can do a manual install I’d try it.
In reply to: Forums Posting Problems: The definitive postJust a tip. Never use one click installs. Create the database and upload the WP files. I can’t say this will fix the problem but it could be worth a try. Your hosts one click could be broken.
Actually BuddyPress core should be amended to work with any WP theme

I looked at template pack and it should be getting the group image. You say you edited the template pack files that could be the problem.
template pack is outdated
this is something that should be group admin choosable and I’m going to suggest choosing a group home page be added to BP 1.4
In reply to: Moving from WPMU to WP Regularhttp://www.bloggingjunkie.com/disable-multi-site-option-wordpress-30.html
Always back up your database first.
@hnla you are very right. I was just adding localization to plugins and then it was asked twice on here so thought I’d post it up.
@hnla I read it and people still keep asking. I broke it down more into steps instead of large paragraphs. People need bullet point instructions or they turn off.
In reply to: Displaying JSON or XML to widgetif you know nothing about outputting json I suggest you google and read up. It’s outside the scope of a forum discussion. JQuery $ajax would work if the feed is made cross domain retrievable
