    Hi,

    For evryone that experienced the same with the user with same ip adress in failed login report I found an soloution.I installed many security plugin even bought some but the problem was still there. Then One day I started to do 2 things. First I removed all the page that where not necessairy for my site. Second what I did was I removed couple plugins that where there but just in deactivation mode. Those 2 combination did the trick. Ore there was a plugin that was doing strange things ore it got confused off all the diffrente page in the background that i didnd’t needed. I easily removed 30 page.
    I hope one day if a person experience the same problem as me that this can guide him to a solution.

    For all the spambots, for me the All In One WP Security & Firewall helped really well to block spambots even before it could enter my site.

    greetings

    Hi,

    Yes indeed. I followed youre advice and found it. In the past when i deactivated all the plugins, there was always 1 security plugin that i let active together with buddypress. Turns out it was the security plugin givin a problem. One of the settings in the plugin was installed that i need to give users manually premission. I changed the settings and new users can register the normal way.

    Thank you for youre help.

    Hi, thanx!

    I just logout, then typed the name of the activation page in the search icon of the site. It was found. Then i used the activation key of a test user and filled it in. The activation key was accepted. Then i tried to login with the test user, but i couldn’t. So i logged in as admin and changed the pasword of the test user i created and retried logging. I received a message:
    ACCOUNT PENDING: Your account is currently not active. An administrator needs to activate your account before you can login.
    I went logged in as admin and I noticed that the test user is listed in all users. Its no more listed in pending. Somehow it’s not possible to login as a new user/test user.

    Do you know what happend?
    greetings

    Hi,

    Thank you for youre respond. Yes, I just changed the permalink from days and name to post name. Then I saved it but the problem remains. After the activation mail a new user goes to the 404 page.

    HI, It’s looks indeed complicated. I’m gonna place this idea to translate the subtype on pauze. It’s was a cool fantasy, but not necessary.

    Thanx you for youre advise,
    have a nice day 😉

    Hi,

    Thank you for youre response. I’m happy to know that its not something i did wrong. It could be an help to others if in the future it would be fixed. Yes I would like to raise this on trac. I used the link you gave me trac and made a new ticked to inform about the issue.

    I really like the way buddypress works, the help by volunteers, the quality of the work, all the plugins. So compliments for the team and moderators.

    greetings,
    have a nice day

    Dear, my apoligize,

    I understand now that i shouldn’t have made a map, but just a file in wp-content/plugins/
    I did as you proposed and it worked well! Thank you very much for youre advise and helping!

    Dear,

    I tried but it didn’t work. I made a bp-custom.php map in: wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php –> In the map bp-custom.php i placed a file bp-custom.php
    I used notedpadd ++ as a editor to place the code you give me and copied it to my server. Once installed, i can’t enter my site. It gives an error:
    Warning: require …
    Fatal error: require(): Failed opening .. class-buddypress.php on line 226

    This looks strange, cause the code filled in notepadd ++ goes only to line 11.

    I filled it in as:
    <?php
    function bp_activities_user_friends_scope( $retval ) {

    if ( bp_is_activity_directory() ) {
    $retval[‘scope’] = ‘friends’;
    }

    return $retval;
    }
    add_filter( ‘bp_after_has_activities_parse_args’, ‘bp_activities_user_friends_scope’ );
    ?>

    did I do something wrong?

    Big thank for youre help

    hi,

    I thank you for youre response. I’m new in to this. I searched information about bp-custom.php.
    If i understand well, this is not an map that is already there. I need to make a map with an editor and place it on the server with a program like: filezilla?

    thank you, have a nice day

    Thank you for youre response,

    Do you mean with debug with 2017 theme, just to change the theme in 2017?
    I deactived all the plugin and changed in the 2017 theme. Onley the buddypress plugin is active and the problem is still there. So maybe it’s an error in buddypress itself? cause i experience it with 2 websites when i’m composing a message and use controle enter to add an person, i can’t add no more. Are there others who have the same problem?

    greetings
