I dont know if this issue is specific to me but when I enable redis I get all kinds of weird results.
My host is cloudways and I have followed this instructions for enabling redis
1) Could not delete activity streams
Disabled redis…changed my theme to twentyfifteen and enabled redis once again but
1) I could not activate the redis plugin….no matter ho many times I activate it, it gets deactivated on its own
2) The active theme reverted to my original theme on its own
3) When I try to get to redis plugin settings; get error”You do not have permission to access this ..”
Is this issue specific to me? Please update on your tests too
Can you help me achieve the task that I am set out to do i.e. have certain users (say depending on member types) links to external site rather than their buddypress profiles
It seems that I need to modify bp_activity_action() to modify the links. Apparently this function is defined at bp-activity-template.php (which is not a template file). But this function seems to echo bp_get_activity_action() function taking some array of arguments. And I get lost after that….don’t know really what to do.

but I do really want to work with this enabled to fix the issue at hand.
I have used jquery to trigger the event for Load Newest for avoiding the Load Newest link but this function is interfering with Activity Loop Filters as I have explained. Any solution to this or do I have to live with it.
John is one of the authors of the CleanPrint plugin who has been supporting me. I am a novice and I would not know how to bypass the filters as you have mentioned. Is it possible for you to contact the development team directly techsupport@formatdynamics.com . In the meantime I will convey your reply to them.
