Hello folks, I’ve goofed up and ruined some of my functionality.

I’ve forced BP to use the “Profile” tab as the default user page and forgotten how. I need to reverse it as my site’s notification system only makes sense if notifications turnover to 0 after being clicked. For that I need the user to land on their Activity and not Profile.

Is it possible to identify activity updates in the system that the current user is not a member of and make them invisible in the sitewide activity stream?

And conversely, is there a way to identify whether the user is a member of a hidden group to make them visible in the sitewide stream?

If it is a function coming from the theme it comes with bp-default and every other theme I’ve ever installed.

Someone on WP forums told me the reason the post form flies out to reveal “Post” and “Post To” form objects is jQuery. Server-side code is alien to me, and jQuery is something else altogether. I’d like to find out where it is and disable/amend it so the objects are never hidden.

Hi guys, hope someone can help,

I edited the .pot file in PoEdit which generated the .mo file. I moved both into the languages folder naming them buddypress-en_US. The codex instructions said to upload the .po file, so I assumed that means I’d have to rename the extension from .pot to .po, so I did that.

I have nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

@mercime Those terms are not dictated by the default.pot file. I’ve eliminated every occurring of “Friend” and “Group” in there, and yet it appears/
