I applied the changes in the bp-activity-functions.php file, but I have no idea what to do with the second fix…what’s the path to the actual file where I can apply the changes in trunk/tests/phpunit/testcases/activity/functions.php? Sorry to trouble you! D:

This issue occurs for me as well! I’ve been frantically running around, troubleshooting by going through the plugins to see if it’s a compatibility issue.
I’ll switch to the default buddypress theme to see if there’s an issue with Nouveau, but I haven’t found a solution yet.

So I disabled the akismet scan and both the spam link and the button vanished. I’m scampering through the Akismet plugin folder to see if I’m missing something…no luck so far. I still want there to be one spam button but they’re conjoined at the moment and it’s really annoying.

Any ideas?

OOP, found it!
Turns out it WAS an opacity thing.

button:hover,
input[type="button"]:hover,
input[type="reset"]:hover,
input[type="submit"]:hover {
	opacity: 0.6;
}

That’s the bugger that made the buttons darken. I’ll be figuring out if it causes the grey button thing but… I hope this helps whoever finds this!

Oh hum. I purged the cache and now it just seems like there’s some kind of property that either affects the opacity of the buttons or functions as an overlay.

I tried injecting the lines from the legacy CSS and adding the changed line of code to the “Custom CSS” area both with and without the !important tag but to no avail. Here’re the adjustments I made:
