I found this today. It appears to be a tight phpBB3 mod that integrates with WP.

Open the theme file in website.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/style.css

On the very last line add
body {background:url(/images/shuswapsocialnetworkbackground.jpg) no-repeat !important;}

FTP that back to your site and see if it makes the change. Double check that your URL path for your jpg is valid too.

Actually, I’m a proponent of unified search. Is that a feature or BP 1.2.4 I hope?

Not to complain or anything, but it seems a little non-intuitive to ask users to use brackets to designate search terms. I wonder if there’s a simpler way to do this? Perhaps a graphical interface where the user would highlight the word and then click “linkify”?

Does anyone know of a plugin or work-around that will post to the activity stream when someone uploads a new avatar? I believe that FaceBook has similar functionality.

I know that it’s possible extend the activity stream since that’s what Buddypress Like does.

Nice plugin.

Could we have a privacy option so that only logged-in users will see the avatar bubble? Or maybe they’ll see the bubble but the only text displayed will say “You must be logged in to see this user’s data”.

Excellent plugin. Now I just wished I had some privacy control over it so that users and I can choose if logged-out visitors can see the data.

You can either edit the header.php file of your theme, or create your own custom language file. I’d probably try the latter: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/how-to-rename-the-favorite-button-on-the-activity-stream/
