That’s a screenshot of the old bp-sn-parent theme that came bundled with the 1.1 releases of Buddypress. Way outdated. But you can recreate that look if you want to try your hand at making your own theme 🙂

That is a standard feature of Buddypress. Click on any “View” link in the activity stream and, if it’s not a blog post or a forum topic, you get to a page where the only item is the one you clicked on. There, you can have a forum-type discussion on that one topic with nested replies.

Oops… my comment about “Required” fields is a bit (a lot?) misleading 🙁
Users will not be able to save their profile settings until all required fields are filled out… that’s what I meant by “trapped” 🙂
