What configuration of sites do you have with MaxCDN? I’ve heard there are some problems with multi-site blog farms where sub-blog uploads aren’t cached correctly.

@pisanojm I am also stuck with the same annoying problem and can’t find any reference to a solution. Can you please guide me to where i should place this code that you have supplied here. I would appreciate if you could explain in which file and where within the file. (I am not a programmer)
Thanks in advance! -

The Code has been completely re-written again and over 600 lines have been removed as part of the optimization. Peter is working to finalize the new version. I’ve asked him about time lines, but he stated that there is no definite yet, but soon. The new version, will likely come in two forms a basic version and a premium with support and…[Read more]

@Pisanojm: This stuff is a great motivation to keep writing tutorials for BuddyPress. Great to hear that it helped for your community 🙂 @Gregfielding. you could use the CDN Sync Tool as well: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cdn-sync-tool/. BUT I would advise you to till install W3 Total Cache and simply disable all the caching functionality.…[Read more]

@pisanojm Hey Pisanojm.
I need a little help with Buddystream.
Facebook is importing and it shows right under my profile activity section .
Under the status update section.
However, if I am another member looking at my profile, the only thing that doens’t show
are the fb or twitter updates.
weird right?-
It isnt working for me either.

Are you experiencing the exact same thing I am?

We have stopped support via via the Buddypress site until the new version is released. The new version is likely to have addressed this specific issue that some folks are having. A new version will be coming out very soon and there will be much better options for those needing support. Stay tuned…

@pisanojm Hi i was wondering if you found a solution for the sign up function not working at all under buddy press. I have made a community http://www.etix.dk working with wordpress 3.0-4 and buddypress 1.2.7 and it is all running on windows server 2003, iis 6 with php 5. every thing seems to work except the sign up function. when i try to sign up,…[Read more]

It is likely the ongoing mail issue with validation… We’ve removed the e-mail validation on BuddyPress and have substituted a number of anti-bot checks, humanity plugin, bad behavior, si-captcha, etc…

Thank you so much for your kind response. I investigated this issue a lot in order to go to the depth of the problem with buddy press installed on such configuration like mine. at the end i found a solution that solved the above specific problem (the issue that every thing worked except the sign up page). Perhaps you would like to have a look at…[Read more]

@Pisanojm – Thanks so much for your good response. I’m going to look into the suggested plugin a bit more. It would be cool to see all of these feed style features in one plugin. And I may have some other contract ideas for you guys.

@pisanojm @blackphantom with Buddystream, is there a way to associate a blog feed / rss feed to a profile, in addition to the social feeds Buddypress associates with a profile. Or would this be something you guys would consider adding. It would be quite useful. Please let me know. Your good response is greatly appreciated.

This integration is not on the “radar” so to speak. I am currently using this plugin to accomplish this:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/third-party-components-plugins/forum/topic/new-pluginexternal-member-blogsIf you would like this integrated into BuddyStream it can be done and we do accept small contracts for iitems developed.

@pisanojm – If it’s not working in IE, it’s likely a problem with TinyMCE that I dare not touch. Likewise with resizing. Links work fine for me.

You can simply add this to the bp-custom.php file that should be (if not create it) in your plugins folder.
Here is the Codex Help file on this:
