That mini-plugin is for servers running IIS. If your server isn’t running IIS, it will have no effect on your site. If your server is running IIS though, let me know.

Yes, the plugin does require a username when you register. Usernames are always unqiue. However, with the plugin activated, you can use your email address to login.

It’s generally bad practice to take someone’s existing plugin behind a pay wall, modify it and then releasing it. If the plugin is abandoned, then that’s a different story.
This is not something I’m going to bring up, however you are free to do so.

You need to look at your theme’s page.php template and make the rest of your BP template files match that format.

The issue also occurs occasionally on bp.org FWIW.
Clearing cookies like rossagrant mentioned fixes the issue temporarily.

It’s because the main activity stream does not show activity comments in the activity loop by default.

So it says page not found when you attempt to login with FB for this url – “/wp-content/plugins/wp-fb-autoconnect/_process_login.php”? Do you have all the files for WP-FB-AutoConnect uploaded? I’d just stick to the first option. Unless you really insist you want everything to reside under the “forum” subdirectory.
You won’t break your blog. But just to be extra cautious, back up everything!

Can you try using the bp-default theme with the WP-FB-AutoConnect plugin and see if you have the same problem?
Also what page is it attempting to redirect to? -

I pasted the code and named the file S8e3t2Se.php uploaded it to the plugins folder and although I was able to activate the plugin with no errors, the page not found error message is still happening, I just tried it and I got it 7 times even with the fix.
