Here solution
After activating multisite I installed and network activated BuddyPress. I also added this line to wp-config.php:
define ( 'BP_ROOT_BLOG', 2 );where 2 is ID of your communitycommunity.mysite.comThat way BP is accessible from an entire network, but profiles are handled only from the network site.

@nonopp, I took a look at your suggestion. Maybe I missed it, but how does that plugin address each BuddyPress member having their own calendar to which they can add their own events?

Years ago, I set up an install of Buddypress for a client. They’ve now come back and want me to update it to the current version.
The site is currently running BP 1.7.2 on WordPress 3.5.1. I know this isn’t going to be painless — I know things will break. And I’ve been working with WP for years, so I’ve gone through the upgrade to white screen…[Read more]

BP 1.5 supports custom menus. The 1.2 series does not, and would require some further annoying magic.

mixmastakooz posted on the forum topic default crop avatar selection is not working in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 14 years, 9 months ago
@rsib2000 Could this jquery conflict only show up in certain OS’s? I’m having no problems cropping or updating my avatar (Win 7, Chrome 11.0.696.68/IE8/FF4.0.1), but folks with OSX (they’ve tried it with FF, Chrome, and Safari) can’t. From what I know of js, this shouldn’t be an issue. Any insights?

To achieve the above situation you can just add a blank role which cannot be selected. This can be done by hacking into the plugin. But since choosing a default role is an essential requirement for the WordPress core it is advisable that you do provide a default role.

@nettantra thanks for reply,
maybe it will be usefull for you to know that there is small issue with your plugin. If I change default role to non subscriber (what actually works), in selection of roles (in addition to roles) at registration appears blank field, which can be selected to proceed with signup, but result is that new member will be…[Read more]
If you can send a demo link where I can find the error, it would be extremely helpful. I will certainly work towards debugging the error.
