i put it in my theme functions.php. and it works.
by mistake i was thinking that i have to put it in bp-custom.php to make it work.
but it has to be in FUNCTIONS.PHP of your THEME.

Group posting by administrators and moderators only isn’t possible out-of-the-box. You’d need to write some custom code or find a plugin that can do that.

@shanebp has been working on a geo-location plugin for BuddyPress which might be useful to you.

because root points for not-logged-in-users.
and redirect points for successfully-logged in users!

So, on http://www.ymphony.com, when a user clicks on a post’s avatar, I’d like the site to direct the user to the avatar’s profile page. The profile page is created by Buddy Press.

Yes, @shanebp, I just tried this and there was no change – when I click on the avatar picture, I am taken to all the posts that I made (archive) rather than my profile.

@shanebp Can you replace bp-email-debug.php with https://www.dropbox.com/s/yz1155axhbyntw7/bp-email-debug-2.php?dl=0 and run again?

It dumps the Email object along with the error message, so I can test some ideas.
Can I also get the URL of the site this is being tested on?

@shanebp That’s interesting. “Could not instantiate mail function” error comes from PHPMailer which (most likely) happens if the PHP mail call fails.

Is PHP Safe Mode enabled?

@shanebp I activated different themes on a test site, and replicated the issue with WP 2015, as Dan confirmed. However, the issue did not persist when using Genesis, 2013, or Flourish (Genesis Child Theme by Restored 316).

The theme being used on the amongstlovelythings.com site is Beautiful, a Genesis Child Theme, albeit an older one.

@shanebp‘s suggestion will mark web notifications as “read”. Regarding email notifications, if they’ve already been triggered and are sitting in a mail queue waiting to be sent, I suggest you contact your host. Hopefully they can delete the whole batch for you directly.
