In reply to: landing page after connexion
If you mean after logging in, put this in your theme’s functions.php
function carol_redirect_to_profile( $redirect_to_calculated, $redirect_url_specified, $user ) { if ( ! $user || is_wp_error( $user ) ) { return $redirect_to_calculated; } if ( empty( $redirect_to_calculated ) ) { $redirect_to_calculated = site_url(); } if ( function_exists( 'bp_core_get_user_domain' ) && ! is_super_admin( $user->ID ) ) { $url = bp_core_get_user_domain( $user->ID ); return $url . 'groups/'; } return $redirect_to_calculated; } add_filter( 'login_redirect', 'carol_redirect_to_profile', 100, 3 );In reply to: Create group button not showingYouzify replaces the BP templates. In reply to: BuddyPress won’t send activation linkDid you try disabling BP email templates?
In reply to: search for every post/commentBuddyPress is free – there is nothing to purchase.
Youzify replaces most of the BP templates – you should send any questions about that to them.
BP activity search does not use key words, it only uses an exact match on the text as a substring.In reply to: The bug in groupBuddyPress does not include a media link for groups.
Send your issue to the creators of the code or plugin that adds the media link.In reply to: Edit “Go to the discussion” URLDid you read this?
In reply to: Edit “Go to the discussion” URLThat is not a shortcode. It’s an email token.
In reply to: Edit “Go to the discussion” URLWhat shortcode are you talking about?

So focusing on the bp-tools screen seems like a minor issue.
Preventing access to that screen while allowing them to have access to everything else seems like a recipe for trouble.But if you are committed to preventing that access, the easiest approach would be to redirect them when they try to access it.
In reply to: How to Link to messages to user subpageUse the url I provided for any button or href.
In reply to: How to Link to messages to user subpageI don’t know what you mean by buddypress messages menu.
For sitewide navigation, this will take any logged-in user to their messages screen:
https://yoursite.com/members/me/messages/If the slug for the all members page is memberships, then
https://yoursite.com/memberships/me/messages/In reply to: How to prevent subscribers from creating groupsDid you try going to wp-admin > Settings > BuddyPress > Options and unchecking the box for
Group Creation ?In reply to: meta user field to load avatar URLThere are several filter hooks you could try.
Look towards the bottom offunction bp_core_fetch_avatarin this file:
wp-content\plugins\buddypress\bp-core\bp-core-avatars.phpFor example, I would try this one first:
function gabriel_random_avatar( $default_grav, $params ) { // $default_grav is an url // replace it with the full url to one of your preferred avatars return $default_grav; } add_filter('bp_core_avatar_default', 'gabriel_random_avatar', 99, 2 );In reply to: Can non-members send messages to membersA user must be logged-in before they can send a BP message.
You could write some custom code to send an email to “Brian”.In reply to: meta user field to load avatar URLPerhaps this plugin would be useful to you:
In reply to: meta user field to load avatar URLAre you saying that you want to use BP avatars on WP author pages?
If so, find the call to the avatar on the authors template.
And replace it with something like this:<img class="" src="<?php $authorUserID = get_the_author_meta('ID'); // get the user id of the post author echo bp_core_fetch_avatar ( array( 'item_id' => $authorUserID, // output user id of post author 'type' => 'full', 'html' => FALSE // FALSE = return url, TRUE (default) = return url wrapped with html and css classes ) );Don’t use the filter.
Overload this template:
...wp-content\plugins\buddypress\bp-templates\bp-nouveau\buddypress\members\single\home.phpAnd then replace
<?php bp_nouveau_member_header_template_part(); ?>
with a call to the image you want to use.In reply to: Admin deleting membersI have deleted the WordPress accounts…
You mean you deleted those users?
BuddyPress users are the same as WP users.
So if you delete a user, they won’t appear anywhere on your site.Place it in the
functions.phpfile in your child theme.In reply to: Add new step in Group Creation WizardAnswered in stackoverflow topic.
