In reply to: Unable To Save Profile Details
Please contact the creator of the BP Xprofile Custom Field Types plugin.
Where is this happening? On your website? If so, please use the support forums for bbPress.
In reply to: updating from BP 2.9.4Clone your site as a development site and then try updating to the latest version.
If there are major failures that you cannot figure out, then reclone the site and try updating in steps per major releases.
The main point is that you do nothing on the production site until you have updated the de site and are satisfied with the result. In reply to: Want to retain site home page> Is this likely to be the source of the issue,
Yes.
To change the slug for the members page, just edit the page you have assigned to members.
Change the slug for that page. You should see it on the right side, under PermalinkIn reply to: Want to retain site home pageAgain – that is not the default BP behavior.
And I have never seen that behavior, and cannot duplicate it and do not know why it is happening. To add a link to the BP profile for the logged-in user, go to Appearance > Menus and add a link.
The url for that link is:yoursite.com/members/me/
The me means that it will redirect to the user’s profile page.In reply to: Want to retain site home pageBP does not take over the home page by default.
Some other code or setting is doing that.Go to yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
and check the settings for Your homepage displaysIn reply to: Profile Field Not Fetching?bp_profile_field_datarequires that is be used in the context of a member profile or the member loop. For other cases, use
xprofile_get_field_dataand note that you need to pass in the user id.
For example, something like:$user_id = get_current_user_id(); $bpphone = xprofile_get_field_data('Phone', $user_id, 'comma');In reply to: How to add custom variable to bp_activity_add ?You cannot just add a parameter to the function.
However you can use the action hook to perform additional operations:
do_action( 'bp_activity_add', $r, $activity->id );In reply to: RedirectsIf you are logged in, you cannot view the reg page, it will redirect you.
This will add countries as a dropdown xprofile field.
Just adapt it to your needs.

In reply to: Buddypress UsersWhen you say “run once”
You can run it whenever you want – just don’t leave it in or it will run on every page load.
…in the database _bp_activity all members show the last active date of today
Which is correct if you ran the code above today.
How many member have a row in the database forlast_activity?
Is it 301 ?In reply to: Onboarding Group MembersYou could put the questions in the Group Description field.
Or, if the group has a forum, you could create a sticky topic that they will see when they open the forum.
Any other approaches will require writing code – code that is based specific parameters that are TBD.In reply to: buddypress pages redirecting to homepage.@kriskki – these forums use bbPress, not BuddyPress.
If you have an issue with bbPress forums, please use their support site:
https://bbpress.org/forums/In reply to: I require support from BuddyPress developersBP is run by volunteers.
Typically, conflicts with other plugins can be difficult to solve.
Especially when you provide so little info.
It is doubtful that one here can help you ( unless they have run into that exact issue themselves ).
Your best approach is to hire an experienced WP developer to look at your site and your specific issue. In reply to: Buddypress UsersThe code is meant to be used ONCE and then removed.
During that single run, it can be slow depending on the number of members you have.
After you have removed the code, go to Dashboard -> Tools -> BuddyPress then run the Repair total members count.A deprecated notice is usually a warning that it may become an error in the future.
But for the time being it should work.In reply to: Filter User Query By BuddyPress Custom Profile FieldSo write a dynamic query to get the ids that you want in include.
I suggest using$wpdb->get_col.In reply to: Filter User Query By BuddyPress Custom Profile FieldWP_User_Query has an include parameter:
include (array) – List of users to be included.Gather the ids of the members you want and then use that array for include.
If you switch to a WP theme like 2020, does the issue persist?
If not, then the issue is in Avada. In reply to: No Feed Loading in BuddybossThese are the forums for BuddyPress, not BuddyBoss.
Please contact BuddyBoss with questions about their products. In reply to: Link to Profile Edit?Use me.
Example:https://yoursite.com/members/me/profile/edit/group/1/
That will send a logged-in user to their profile page > edit.In reply to: Download from Group pages?BP does not support docs in groups by default.
You need to find the code that is allowing it on your site.
And then extend that code to allow downloading. In reply to: Displaying member profil contentAre you using BuddyPress or BuddyBoss ?
Are you using some theme that shows the members in a grid? You need to find the members loop template and use or add a hook in that template so that you can generate the display of profile data in that area.
As you can see on the ticket, an accepted patch exists.
You can either apply the simple patch now or wait until the next BP release which is TBD.
