That is the best approach. Use the BP_Component class and write your own component. Look at how BP does that to create components like groups and follow the same approach with modifications as needed. You will need good skills as a WP / BP developer.

Here is some general advice.
Clone the site to a dev site and do all your testing there.
Turn off any caching plugins, update plugins and theme.
Switch to a WP theme to check for theme-specific issues.
Turn plugins off and on to isolate issues.
Check your logs carefully.

In reply to: Conditional Tag for Member in GroupIf the correct group ids are being returned by
groups_get_user_groups, then it sounds like a permission issue in the Menu Item Visibility plugin. In reply to: Conditional Tag for Member in GroupTo get the group ids for a member, use
groups_get_user_groups.
To get all the info about each group that a member belongs to, usebp_get_user_groups.

Probably, a WP Q&A plugin would be a better starting point. In reply to: $bp->members->nav is emptyThis will show the profile nav menus for the current user:
function check_nav_menus() { $bp = buddypress(); $menus = $bp->members->nav->get_item_nav(); var_dump($menus); } add_action( 'bp_ready', 'check_nav_menus' );In reply to: Make Group Membership PaymentI’ve never done it, but this is what I’d try:
In:buddypress\bp-groups\bp-groups-functions.php
Find:function groups_send_membership_request
And find thedo_actionnear the end of that function.
Use that hook to call a function that does what you need re Woo.
After payment, make a call tofunction groups_accept_membership_requestalso inbp-groups-functions.php.In reply to: $bp->members->nav is emptyIf you only need a dynamic link for the current user, then use ‘me’.
For example:http://yoursite.com/members/me/

Please send your question to BuddyBoss. In reply to: adding new user sub page with custom profile designNo, it would not be possible.
In reply to: adding new user sub page with custom profile designYou cannot change the parent template within BP for a single profile tab.
Put a redirect or $_POST submit in the screen function and send it to a WP page that uses the template you want.
But it will no longer be a BP profile page and you will not be able to use BP functions likebp_displayed_user_id()and will need to pass that data some other way.In reply to: Public MessageYou can omit the public message form with this code:
add_filter( 'bp_activity_do_mentions', '__return_false' );You need to ask Paid Membership Pro how to check if the current user has made the required purchase.
In reply to: adding new user sub page with custom profile designHere is an example of adding a profile tab.
Instead of a template, put your markup in a function.
