Is there a way to receive buddypress forum notifications via email? If somebody has participated in forum discussion, he/she should be able to subscribe to that discussion (via email) , like in this case, I should be able to receive response to this discussion on email.
Is there a plugin to do so?
Great plugin (Buddypress-Links) and much needed to create an awesome community.
The plugin works just fine on my local server, but fails to fetch the title/description on the blog (check http://www.pluggd.in/links ).
Any idea/possible areas that I should be looking into?
Thanks in advance
I understand that groups (in BP) are the containers for forums, but can there be a much simpler implementation of Buddypress and the forum? Can one bypass the group creation process and enable members to directly update the forum?
Is there a rss feed for forum topics? something like mysite.com/forums/feed?
I used the Buddypress Forum Extra plugin and using that, one could get the feed for group activities. Am specifically looking for rss feed for forum activities only (not the ones mentioning activity updates like X joined the group etc etc).
Please suggest. TIA.

I am not referring to changing the site settings to show a static page..but would like to show the latest blog posts on the homepage and activity stream in the widget section. While there is a plugin to achieve this (BP Sitewide activity), its really ugly and I am looking for a more elegant solution. […]
Enabled Buddypress and the top navbar is missing. Have even checked the ‘Component’ setup and enabled the bar for non logged in users.
This behavior happens with even the default BP theme. Any idea?
— Please Ignore. THe issue has been resolved. Thanks.
sinha started the forum topic Registration Process – How to remove the activation email process? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 4 years, 9 months ago
How can one remove the activation email process? Here is the ideal registration process for me – user enters id/pwd/email etc and after the captcha is verified, we’d like to have him start using the system (and not wait for the activation email).
Currently BP enables login via username..is there a way to have this via email id?
