Scratch that.
What @bphelp said. Somehow I had missed the messages after the first two.

@struth Have you, as admin, added some of the users? I ask because the default sorting on the lists is by “last active”. If a member never logged in (such as a member created by admin) then (s)he would not show up in the list by default. Change the sorting to Alphabetical and see if your users show up.

SK replied to the topic Should I use BuddyPress for this clients request? in the forum Miscellaneous 10 years, 7 months ago
@callumoberholzer BuddyPress profiles have been getting more and more robust.
Member search is something BuddyPress is not very good at though. Plugins such as BP Profile Search offer a partial solution. So if you feel search function is too limited, do feel free to contribute code to make BuddyPress better. Any help is always welcome.

Have you tried BuddyPress 2.1.1? In one word, it is awesome.
People may disagree, but I feel that with 2.0 and 2.1, BuddyPress has finally started coming into its own. A few of the features added/improved in these versions are:
Completely reworked and totally cool @mentions
New profile field types: URL, Number

SK started the topic WordPress registered without BuddyPress profile? in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years, 8 months ago
Here’s a weird one:
Say I have a WordPress site at domain.com The site also has a portion powered by BuddyPress. Now, while I want the BuddyPress/community portion to be public, I don’t want every WordPress-registered user to automatically also have a BuddyPress profile page.
Is it possible?

Unfortunately no updates. The wireframes have been done for a while, but I don’t believe a decision has been taken.@ciromanigrasso

if this part of the core functionality (and the chat as well), then so much the better.
I agree. And if you do feel that way, you should go say so at the Trac ticket https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4126

I would prefer a field-by-field switch a la https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/787 as opposed to a blanked on/off.

Hmm…for some reason, looks like my reply was not posted.
I tried the code. But for some reason it seems that instead of being executed, the code appears as text on the site 🙁

SK started the topic Members list not showing members in the forum Installing BuddyPress 11 years ago
My members page http://csillamvilag.com/modellek/modell/ doesn’t show any members aside from me.
If you check individual groups’ member pages, you will see members http://csillamvilag.com/modellek/hely/magyarorszag/budapest/
Seems weird.

The values of xprofile fields seem linked:
http://csillamvilag.com/modellek/modell/angelaveress/
Is this intended? The links go to a search results page, e.g. http://csillamvilag.com/modellek/modell/?s=Felnőtt+modell
If this is intended, then it seems to be buggy as ZERO results are shown. - Load More
