    Also, I’m an idiot.

I wasn’t in Network Admin mode. I was looking at the users on my main blog. If I switched to the Network Admin view, the ‘registered’ column is there.

Posting this in case anyone else is having the same issue.

    Resolved!

OK, I think this turned out to be a conflict with the Premise plugin. Deactivated that and everything went back to normal. (It has a component where it creates pages, so some conflict probably happened there).

This served as a good reminder: As always, turn off your plugins one by one before you freak out.

(Maybe I’ll even learn that lesson some day)

It has changed. I just went through this step by step guide this morning and it worked like a charm. I was nervous, but needn’t have been.

Have you tried deactivating the “BP Auto Login on Activiation” plugin?

I know it’s frustrating but I usually find errors like this are caused by random plugin conflicts.

Oh and I can’t open a development tracker ticket because the link above this post (https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/newticket/) gives me this page:

Error: Forbidden TICKET_CREATE privileges are required to perform this operation

I don’t understand. Could someone clarify?

    1. I want to know why the truncated link (“…”) at the end of posts in the activity stream do not have an active link. They’re just text. They should link to somewhere.

    2. I want to know how to fix this.

What do I need to do? Who do I need to talk to? How do I get hold of them?

    Thanks for responding.

I’m not clear what your answer means though (sorry, not a developer). Are you saying that Buddypress.org only controls the parts that go into the activity stream and no-one here deals with the way the forum posts are truncated and displayed in the Activity stream?

Is there another place I should be asking about this, then?

    Thanks again,
    Julie

    Thanks.

I tried what you suggested and the problem is still there. If someone posts to a forum inside a public group, that activity shows up on the activity stream truncated but with only the “[…]”, but no link.

(“Read more” does show up if someone posts in just the group’s stream. But if it’s in a forum topic in that group, no link.)

Any chance of an answer on this?

Thank you, you are awesome. (I am not change log fluent)

Ack. Something pre-1.5… (Sorry, I haven’t used the site much since last August. Will try to track down the info)

Is it my imagination? Did the forums always display this way? Is there any way to change it?

    Thanks for responding.

    Ok, thanks for responding.

But the fact is my forums now display oldest-first AND the excerpts in the Activity stream no longer have any way to link directly to them (instead you have to click on the forum name and scroll through, searching for the post you were interested in).

This is not how the forums worked last year. Do you have any hints about where I might look for a fix?
