Sorry for my late reply…
I did not dive further into the problem yet, but the not working version is set up as follows;
http://www.mydomain.com > runs IIS + static asp website buddypress.mydomain.com > is pointing to a different IP; a server that runs apache
I will post an update as soon as I’ve found out more.
The working version is on a regular Dreamhost account and worked out of the box.
I found out it’s probably the server configuration; I installed it on another server and everything worked as supposed to.
Please…any ideas? I have tried again with a clean install and still the same result.
I am having the same problem with WP 2.9.2 + BP 1.2.3.
