I’m having an issue related to this, where on the members page, it says ALL MEMBERS: 13, and down below it says “Viewing 1-20 of 197 active members”. The 197 is correct, and the 13 is not. I noticed the same problem when viewing @tux-kapono ‘s site. It shows ALL MEMBERS at 1,958, but active members are off by one at 1,959. Any insight into this…[Read more]

Why would it be confusing unless you have several admins? Subscribers should not have access to how many registered users there are in the dashboard anyway. Unless those users are active participants wouldn’t it kinda mislead new legitimate registered users that there is more active members than what is truly there? Most likely the…[Read more]

Forgot to mention that is the reason for the discrepancy in member numbers in dashboard and members directory page.

Actually even though their account is activated after clicking the link in the email they will not show up as members until they actually log in for the first time. Basically they have to show that they are going to be active participants on your site before they are acknowledge as being a member of it.

This can be done out of the box. In the dashboard/users/profile fields create a new profile field under base because this is the fields in registration and under “Is this field required” make it required.
