How does one get 'de-registered' and 're-registered'?

  • tuxkapono

I’m posting this under a new account because my original one, ‘Tux Kapono’, for many years, was somehow ‘disabled’. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the BuddyPress 1.8 thread on ‘awards’ where I recommended a book on gamification for the team to take a look at since it’s extremely relevant to understanding where the industry is going. It was deleted, and I’m wondering if that has anything to do with the mistaken assumption I was advertising, which I was not. At all. I mean, you try to be helpful, and you get ‘derezzed’ as a result? 🙁

@tuxkapono @tux-kapono Your account was blocked because: a) you posted a link to site which had numerous pop-ups when I checked it out and b) the link you posted had no direct relevance to the topics where you added the link. Those of course led to the conclusion that you were a spammer along with 7-8 other spammers I blocked around that time. We try to keep the forums as clean and free from spammers and spam as much as possible.

Given that you came back to explain your side, I have unblocked “Tux Kapono” and you may resume using it to post in BP forums.

    Tux Kapono

I posted a straightforward book link on Amazon.

My greatest regret is that the people working on the gamification elements of BuddyPress 1.8, nor anyone else reading the forum, benefitted from knowing that this newly published resource even exists.

Thank you for reinstating my account.

tux, can you pls post it again? I can’t find your previous account nor link mentioned, am very interested to see these resources, thanks!
