that’s not normal maybe your general wp settings are making new users something other then subscribers? the default member role does not grant posting capability.

well what i would suggest is to network enable buddypress meaning that the buddypress pages would only exist on the primary site.

@quint i think the front end access to that is from the directory page only now (i could be wrong).

buddypress is designed to be network activated not individually activated on separate sites on a network. now my understanding is that it can be made to work that way but i wouldn’t suggest it personally.

that’s the way it’s supposed to work also make sure your site tracking component is enabled in your buddypress settings.

it works fine for me but it doesn’t catch all spam i think it’s still learning how to tell whats spam or not when it comes to activity. it’s not perfect for comments either but probably catches about 99% or so. […]

akismet integration for BP activity is still a bit hit and miss in my experience at least.
