@Fraternity Do you already have a working buddypress install with 1.6.5?

If so, I guess you can migrate with not many problems, but for new installs the old (and good, why not?) forum component it´s NOT available anymore.

At least till now i could not find a way of keeping it.

As i´m not a coder i need a bit more info to try that moebis hack 🙁

    Thanks mercime

I was really interested on what moebis posted there even for testing purposes but i could not find out where exactly to hack that code, You know?

For now I´ll stay with the default buddypress forum instead plus that very nice plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-group-hierarchy/ and another one to attach some images on forum´s topics. i guess they´ll do trick 😉

Multiple forums per BuddyPress Group is started in bbPress, but likely won’t be finished for several months.

And that said let´s wait for the leadres.

    Once more thank you

Ps. I´ve heard from Boone Gorges ( http://www.youtube.com/embed/PTNdMn8rGlg ) that native buddypress forums will not get updated anymore but i don´t think it will be just cutted off from bp 1.7.xx and further. What you think?

Well, the end of my “saga”

Downgrade to WP2.9.2 , auto installed BP and despite of a warning : “this plugin is not compatible with you version of WP” everthing is running fine and smooth..

Now I can login and test the system.
    Wierd isn´t it?

    Thank you nit3watch

But I´ve followied your advice and same error again… : You don´t have permissions to see this site. Cantact system admin…

    Kind of lost…

maybe try to install a fresh WP2.9.2 and BP?

Thanks nit for your input here.

So you´re telling that BPworks with WP3 but i must update BP manually?
Wondering how can I do It now because i can´t acces the admin anymore :-(

Maybe i must delete via ftp the bp files and then via phpMyadmin drop the plugins´ tables.

    Is that?
    thanks.

PS any ETa to the BP 1.3?

    Hi all

    Same problem here :-(

@paul following your suggestion i can login but after changing back the name of plugin´s folder and try to activate BP I get the same permissions erros spotted above

I´ve tried with a WP 3 fresh install with multisite off and then on but the results are the same.

Any issue with the last version of BP and WP 3?
    Any clue will very appreciated

    thank you all
