Question, will BuddyPress RC1 work for this, or do you have to be using the latest BuddyPress install via SVN?
In reply to: Forums Not Being CreatedOkay, so I get
-32300 >> transport error – HTTP status code was not 200
I’m assuming this is the same error he got above…I guess I’ll try installing BBPress on a different server…hrmmm
In reply to: Forum Integration: HELPING HINTS@Jfcarter – if you do not have the option to enable xmlrpc and pingbacks it is because you are not using the latest Alpha version of BBPress – you can download this zip at: https://bbpress.org/latest-alpha.zip
@Trent – It may be a good idea to put direct links to all of the appropriate download versions that are needed in your original post. It is very confusing when there are 2 or 3 different releases of the same thing and a lot of people seem to be stuck on little mistakes like having the wrong version number (which you wouldn’t think is confusing, but it is!)
In reply to: Link Profile Field Typefyi – You should not need to alter any settings as long as you are using BP RC1+ as they took into account this issue. Just be sure users include the “http://” in their URLs.
In reply to: Make URLs in User Profile answers hyperlinkYou should be able to use hyperlinks just fine in a profile field. The bp-xprofile-filters.php has a section just for recognizing URLs – just make sure people put the “http://” before the URL or I don’t think it will work.
In reply to: Taking out Profile SectionsGo figure, I post this and I think I find it… buddypress-member > profiles > index.php
In reply to: Need Testers: Featured Members WidgetWell I wanted the avatar (I’m using the large ones) to be centered in the column (I’m using the “center” column) – so I took away the ID’s and classes associated with the DIVs outside the avatar loop in the plugin and created new ones so I could properly center the avatar, as well as take away the background that comes with all widgets…
In reply to: Need Testers: Featured Members WidgetWorks great, I did some CSS changes, but it works like a charm.
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestThanks DJPaul, is there a good place I can go learn about SVN and how to do all that…maybe I’m old fashioned, but I’m used to FTP haha…
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestAh maybe that is why, I am using BP-RC1 with WPMU 2.7.1 Beta…
Hrmm, now I am debating on whether I should update to the latest BP trunk…
By the way, is there a way to download a Zip of the latest trunk, or do you have to use SVN? I haven’t quite caught on to the SVN thing yet..
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestWell I got it activated by replacing…
require_once( WP_PLUGIN_DIR . '/buddypress/bp-core.php' );<br />with this one:
require_once(WP_CONTENT_DIR . '/mu-plugins/bp-core.php');<br />but, I don’t see any options or anything on the admin side. I’m assuming some constants or global variables must have changed since I am using the latest release of BP…does anyone have an updated version of this plugin that works?
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestOkay so I have the latest BP, why am I getting…
Warning: require_once(/html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /html/wp-content/plugins/welcome-pack.php on line 14

In reply to: Member/Group Page Template FileI have turned off the option to allow users to create blogs, yet the “Blogs” link still shows up in the user bar…not sure if that is a bug in mine or not – I have the latest version of BP.
In reply to: Member/Group Page Template FileThank you Burtadsit!
By chance, would you also know where I can find the markup for the User Bar (the one with the “Activity, Profile, Blog, Wire, Messages..” etc links? I am trying to remove “Blogs” from that bar, because I don’t plan on allowing users to create any blogs at the moment, so it is a useless link for me that I would rather not put there.
Thanks in advance for the help!
