Activity With No Comments

I’m trying to add a filter to display activity that has no comments or favorites. The no favorites part is easy based on the example at https://codex.buddypress.org/plugindev/add-custom-filters-to-loops-and-enjoy-them-within-your-plugin
Any suggestions on how I would go about showing only activity that has no comments?
